Apply to become a Judge

There are two TSR Judges Registers as follows:
‘O’ register for Judges eligible to judge all open classes excluding HOYS qualifiers
‘H’ register for judges eligible to judge HOYS qualifiers

Within each register judges can be listed to judge the following sections:

  • Pony Includes In Hand & Ridden SP, SHP, Intermediates, Part Breds excludes M&M
  • M&M Includes In Hand & Ridden M&M, M&M LR & FR
  • Horse Includes In Hand & Ridden Hacks, Cobs, Riding Horses, Part Breds
  • Hunters Includes In Hand & Ridden Hunters, Working Hunter
  • Coloureds Includes In Hand & Ridden
  • WH/WHP includes Working Hunter, WHP & M/M WHP

TSR 'O' Judges Register

The ‘O’ Register for Judges eligible to judge all open classes excluding HOYS qualifiers.

Existing Judges on an Accredited Panel
Existing panel judges on Sport Horse (GB), British Show Horse, BSPS,  NPS, CHAPS, NCPA, BSPA, SSADL, SWPA may submit an application form and subject to agreeing to the TSR T&C’s for Judges & approval of the TSR Independent Judges Body may be appointed directly to the equivalent panel without a further appraisal.

Existing judges who wish to judge a new category such as M&M will be required to go for assessment.

Judges with 3 years or less experience on a panel may be asked for extra supporting evidence.

New Applicants not on a Panel

Applicants not on any panel must submit an application form stating relevant experience for the panels applied for.

Existing Judges already with a HOYS accreditation from either NPS, BSPS, BSHA, CHAPS may submit an application form and subject to agreeing to the TSR T&C’s for Judges and approval of the TSR Independent Judges Body may be appointed directly to the equivalent panel without a further appraisal. Judges may be asked for appraisal subject to the discretion of the TSR Independent Judges Body. Existing judges who wish to judge a new category such as M&M will be required to go for assessment.

New Applicants not on a HOYS accredited Panel
Applicants not on any HOYS panel must already be listed on the TSR ‘O’ Panel or NPS, BSPS,  CHAPS, BSHA non HOYS panels for a minimum of 3 years. Applicants must submit an application form stating relevant experience for the panels applied for.
