The Showing Register (TSR) is thrilled to announce the new Amateur of the Year Show, 6th and 7th December 2025 at NAEC Stoneleigh. Dedicated to Amateurs, this Christmas themed end-of-season finale features demonstrations, trade stands, and more.
This exciting indoor Championship provides a new stage that shines a light upon Amateur competitors, encompassing all the hard work, dedication and skill that goes into the showing season. This grand finale promises to host the best horses and ponies on the Amateur circuit, all vying for their respective Amateur of the Year titles.
Competitors can qualify throughout the season at approximately 40 affiliated shows; where the highest placed exhibit not already qualified will receive their ticket to the Amateur of the Year Show. The list of qualifiers to be announced shortly, and the Finals will include:

Coloured Horse Amateur of the Year
Small Breeds Mountain and Moorland Amateur of the Year
Large Breeds Mountain and Moorland Amateur of the Year
Lead Rein Mountain and Moorland Amateur of the Year
First Ridden Mountain and Moorland Amateur of the Year
Plaited Pony Amateur of the Year
Lead Rein Plaited Amateur of the Year
First Ridden Plaited Amateur of the Year
Hack/Riding Horse of the Year
Cob Amateur of the Year
Hunter Amateur of the Year
Riding Club Horse Amateur of the Year
Riding Club Pony Amateur of the Year
